Hosea’s Wife and Children

1 The word of ^[a]Yahweh which came to ^(A)Hosea the son of Beeri, in the days of ^(B)Uzziah, ^(C)Jotham, ^(D)Ahaz, and ^(E)Hezekiah, kings of Judah, and in the days of ^(F)Jeroboam the son of Joash, king of Israel.

² When Yahweh first spoke through Hosea, Yahweh said to Hosea, “^(G)Go, take for yourself a wife of harlotry and have children of harlotry; for ^(H)the land commits flagrant harlotry, ^[b]forsaking Yahweh.”
